You are not spelling words around the hexagons. Each word is a set of letter pieces that can go in any order.

Look at the boundaries first

The six amber centres use four-letter words. Their four triangles often provide the quickest way into the puzzle.

Let constraints cascade

A letter shared by two or three hexagons must work in every one. Use Pencil for possibilities and Ink when you are confident.

Pencil marks are yours: Ink temporarily covers them, and erasing the Ink reveals them again.

Every letter has only one logical place.

How to play

Words provide the pieces. Logic puts them in place.

  1. Use every listed word once.
  2. Its letters may appear in any order around a matching centre.
  3. Dark centres belong to six-letter hexagons; amber boundary centres belong to four-letter words.
  4. The central word is already arranged clockwise.
  5. Select a triangle, then use Ink for a firm answer or Pencil for possibilities.
  6. Pencil marks remain beneath Ink and return if that Ink letter is erased.
  7. Completed words grey automatically. Check Grid never ends your attempt—and the successful final validation is not counted as a check.

Privacy

What this beta records

Progress, preferences and an anonymous player ID are stored in your browser. When a played session ends, we record the puzzle, elapsed time, checks and input actions, completion state, broad device type and optional tester name.

Netlify processes the form submission and may attach technical information such as IP address and browser details. We use this only to understand and improve the game. We do not request an email address or sell this information.
